Pedagogical Activities
Dialogue in the Dark provides a highly educational programme and is visited by many school groups every day. Our educational workshops are especially popular. Several essential issues are emphasized such as:
- Raising awareness of the senses
- Coming into contact with blind people and disability in general
- Raising awareness of Otherness and social barriers
- Developing social skills such as empathy, trust, team work…
- or overcoming fear of the dark
Experiencing total darkness and meeting blind people is especially challenging for children and adolescents. For this reason it is essential to give them the best preparation possible. Therefore Dialogue in the Dark offers schools a range of options for their Dialogue visit, designed to enrich teaching approaches and provide extensions in the classroom.
