Who are the Guides?
The guides are blind and partially sighted people, employed by Dialogue in the Dark, who look after their visitors in the darkened rooms, enabling them to experience their world first hand and providing an insight into their everyday lives. They are naturals in the dark and use their professional competence to ensure everybody’s safety.
The Dialogue in the Dark guides lead visitors through the dark exhibition rooms, work as bartenders in the Dark-Bar and as waiters in the Taste of Darkness restaurant. Some of them run educational workshops or work as trainers at seminars and training courses.
